The Human Rights Program is beginning a new series on past Human Rights Minors and the excellent work they are doing in the field of human rights since their graduation.
Tracy, who holds a Master of Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute, has worked with the Democracy Coalition Project and Peace Brigades International since graduating. The Democracy Coalition Project conducts research and advocacy relating to the advancement of democracy and human rights internationally, and Peace Brigades International is an organization that supports human rights defenders and facilitates peace-building
initiatives worldwide.

Dan, a former HRP graduate assistant and coordinator of the Save Yar Campaign against child abduction in South Sudan (later incorporated as Child Protection International) was recently named the country director in Egypt for the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). In that role he manages training sessions in Egypt and Jordan for journalists from throughout the Middle East. ICFJ supports journalists and citizen journalists with funding in part from the U.S. State Department Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor; and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

David received a PhD in Political Science and a graduate minor in human rights in 2008. His dissertation, Expansion of Transitional Justice Measures: A Comparative Analysis of Its Causes, was selected as the winner of 2009 American Political Science Association (APSA) Best Dissertation Award (Human Rights Section). He is now working as a research fellow at Griffith University in Australia.

Rachel completed her Master of Public Policy in 2011. She was recently named a Presidential Management Fellow and now works for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the Office of Strategic Planning and Management.
